From early childhood Christian Science was in our home, and healings were experienced both by our parents and by my brother and me. He and I were enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School when we were young children, and we received many blessings there.

With the help of my parents or of a practitioner and with the spiritual understanding gained from regular attendance in the Sunday School, I was protected for many years from any serious illness. In the years since we left home Christian Science has continued to bless and guide us.

Very early in her study of this religion my mother was healed of a serious eye disorder, causing near blindness, and of another physical condition for which a surgical operation had been prescribed by doctors. Both conditions were completely and permanently healed by spiritual means alone. For many years she enjoyed normal activity in the home and helped others in Christian Science; she never again wore glasses or used any but spiritual means for healing.
