Choosing Good as the Reality
"When we are conscious only of the allness of God, good, evil entirely disappears"
An important factor in the healing and regeneration of mankind is the ability to distinguish between good and evil. Christian Science reveals the allness and goodness of God, Spirit, and the consequent unreality and powerlessness of evil and matter. In her book "Miscellaneous Writings," Mrs. Eddy says (p. 333): "The 'Alpha and Omega' of Christian Science voices this question: Where do we hold intelligence to be? Is it in both evil and good, in matter as well as Spirit? If so, we are literally and practically denying that God, good, is supreme, all power and presence, and are turning away from the only living and true God, to 'lords many and gods many.' "
