Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Lakewood Center, Washington (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lakewood Center, Washington, will formally dedicate its church building on Sunday, May 24, at two services, 11 a.m. and 4 p.m....

First steps toward a new edifice were taken in 1946, when the church selected a new building site closer to the rapidly growing Community Center, at what is now known as 9151 Gravelly Lake Drive. Late in 1952, construction started on the new church home.... First services were held in the new church on September 13, 1953.
