My mother was a student of Christian Science before I was born. My own family has had many proofs of its wonderful healing power, some of which I should like to relate.

One evening, while preparing dinner, I caught my fingers in the electric mixer. My husband pried the blades loose, and I immediately wrapped a towel around my hand and called a Christian Science practitioner. The pain was severe. In a short time I again called the practitioner, and during our conversation the truths needed to free my thought were revealed. The prayerful work had been done, and the healing was complete.

At another time, while I was working with the synonyms for God, given in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the understanding that man reflects God now came to me. This realization brought me freedom from a nervous condition which had for many years distressed me physically and mentally. I am very grateful for the practitioners who helped me at different times during this experience.
