I am very grateful for the blessing of many years of protection and freedom from illness of any kind. In my experience the power of Truth as a preventive of sickness and discord is best shown by the fact that I have not found it necessary to absent myself from school, military duties, or work in over twenty years. God has been my only physician.

The lessons learned in the Christian Science Sunday School, which I attended from an early age, have always been with me. I am especially grateful for the Sunday School, for membership held in Christian Science college organizations, and for the opportunity of having served with the Christian Science Activities for the Armed Services. Each of these activities was a great source of strength in my early experience.

A visual defect which was discovered when I enlisted in the Navy was corrected through Christian Science treatment to the satisfaction of entrance requirements.
