Let Us Sing a New Song

A new spiritual standard of preaching was raised by Mrs. Eddy when in the Manual of The Mother Church she ordained the Bible and her book Science and Health to be the pastor of the Church of Christ, Scientist. She also raised a standard for vocal and organ music in The Mother Church when in an Article of the Manual she made provision for a soloist and organist. The Article is also of value in branch churches, which, in agreement with the order of services set forth in the Appendix to the Manual, usually provide a solo at the Sunday services.
