My gratitude to God for Christian Science...

My gratitude to God for Christian Science is unbounded because through the study and application of this beloved Science, I have received many blessings and healings. When I was a small child I was completely healed of a condition expected to prove fatal. Three doctors had been unable to diagnose the illness. When I was a year old, I was unable to sit alone, and I was two years old before I took my first step.

After the doctors had admitted that they were baffled by the condition and were unable to correct it, my mother and father became discouraged. During this time my mother was attracted by the harmony expressed in a neighbor's home and was led to ask them what their religion was. Upon being told they were Christian Scientists, she began to attend services in the Christian Science Society in our community and to study the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy. When she learned that Christian Science could heal me, she dismissed the doctors and relied on prayer as taught in this Science, and I was completely healed.

All through my childhood and until I was twenty, I had the priceless experience of Sunday School training, I had many healings of so-called children's diseases, and problems in school were also solved.
