For the inspiration, protection, and healing that Christian Science has afforded our entire family since we began the earnest study and application of it to our daily problems, I am sincerely grateful.

Before we knew anything of Christian Science, we were very critical of a friend for her firm adherence to the truths that we have since come to understand and love. We could not understand how anyone who was so intelligent could rely completely on Christian Science for healing, for at that time we were very dependent upon medical aid. This, however, was only our ignorance of Christian Science.

The time soon came when we called this friend to inquire how we could obtain help in Christian Science for our year-old daughter. She was suffering from a severe stomach and intestinal disorder which had made it impossible for her to retain nourishment or water for several days. She cried night and day.
