ADMIT ONLY HARMONIOUS CONCLUSIONS

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, gives us this vital statement in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 392): "Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you will control yourself harmoniously." It is the privilege of each individual to govern his thoughts from the standpoint that God is infinite good and therefore makes his entire experience harmonious.

Christian Science makes it clear that man in God's image and likeness is uncontaminated, free, spiritual, knowing only what divine Mind is expressing. Whatever is not in accord with the light and goodness of Mind is not real. For this reason, we do not have to accept any incorrect conclusions that may be placed before us. Our individual experience is determined by whatever we admit into thought as powerful.

We learn in Christian Science to keep our consciousness so filled with goodness and truth that we are alert to accept only the real and to reject that which is worthless, that which is not of God. As we consistently "stand porter," it becomes easier for us to recognize that which does not have a basis of divine law to support it and to admit only harmonious conclusions.
