We read in Matthew (10:8)...
We read in Matthew (10:8), "Freely ye have received, freely give." I have indeed received much through the study of Christian Science, and I feel that I should wait no longer to share with others some of my proofs of the truth.
I was brought up in a family of students of Christian Science, but in my high school and college years I allowed myself to become influenced by the suggestion of pleasure in matter. When I reported for a routine physical examination in order to play football in my freshman year of college, I was told that I had developed high blood pressure.
I was so involved in pursuing the false pleasures that I ignored this condition instead of working the problem out as we are taught to do in Christian Science. As a result I was denied the experience of playing football in college.
