Activities for the Armed Services
Alaska
In order to carry on an effective program for Christian Scientists in overseas areas, Christian Science Activities for the Armed Services must overcome many obstacles. This is true in Alaska, Korea, Germany, Australia, and elsewhere.
In Alaska, conditions exist that are peculiar to that vast territory. Among these are the arctic snows and ice, the comparatively few roads and railroads, the great distances between military installations, and the relatively small permanent population. That Armed Services Activities is successfully meeting these challenges is seen in the inspiring reports we receive from the Christian Science Ministers, Representatives, and Chaplains stationed there.
