Outstanding among the problems confronting mankind today is the tendency to believe in the deferment of good.

I am one who has had hearing...

I am one who has had hearing restored through Christian Science.
During my school days I decided that it would be proper for me to become a clergyman of the Protestant denomination of which I was then a member.
In gratitude to patient and loving God I submit this long-overdue testimony.
It was my privilege to have been brought up in Christian Science from early childhood.

A constantly growing awareness...

A constantly growing awareness of the practical value to be found in testimonies of Christian Science healing, together with a deep sense of gratitude, impels me to join the thousands who have lovingly shared their spiritual progress with those who read our periodicals.
The Christian Science textbooks, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, were in my possession during my service in the Navy in World War II.
My family turned to Christian Science when a doctor said that I could not live through the effects of a severe case of whooping cough.
Many times at the Wednesday evening testimony meetings I have expressed my gratitude for the joy, inspiration, and healing received through reading the testimonies in our periodicals, and as the Psalmist said.
