It is with unceasing gratitude...

It is with unceasing gratitude that I am moved to share my happy experiences in the study and application of Christian Science. Many years ago, while I was suffering from asthma and heart trouble as well as experiencing a lack of supply, this wonderful religion was presented to me. At my request a practitioner lovingly helped me. Eagerly I read and studied the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings. Later I joined The Mother Church and became an earnest worker in God's vineyard. Gradually I was restored to health and gained freedom from lack. Then I had the happy privilege of class instruction, which has been a precious experience to me.

Some time ago an unpleasant open sore appeared on the side of my face. With the aid of a practitioner prayerful work was taken up. Helpful passages in the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings were pondered. Especially comforting was this passage in the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly (II Pet. 3:14): "Be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless." Also of help was an account of the complete elimination of a goiter. This account came over the radio in one of the convincing broadcasts from The Mother Church. I am happy to say that my healing was complete.

During the three and a half years my son was away in military service, the ever-present truth sustained us both. What a treasured statement is this one from the Christian Science textbook (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."—(Mrs.) Alice M. Bates, Boston, Massachusetts.
