For the many healings I have had through the application of Christian Science, I am indeed very grateful. On page 66 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes, "Trials are proofs of God's care."' I am grateful to know that each healing I have experienced in Christian Science has proved to me God's infinite care for His children. And I am endeavoring constantly to realize that all who do His will are under His protection.

A number of years ago I suffered from insomnia. When this inharmonious condition had gone on for some time, I awoke one morning with a buzzing noise in my ear. Despite this, I got up; but there was no improvement. On the contrary, the buzzing grew continually worse. I was unable to think good thoughts and was in a dreadful state. Up to this time I had not studied Christian Science very earnestly, and the next day, when there was still no improvement, in my despair I sent for a doctor. The doctor came at once and said that I was suffering from a nervous breakdown. He injected something into my ear, but this did not help.

Then a dear friend came to see me. She saw the condition I was in, and she very lovingly led me back to the truth, to which, in my fear, I had not ventured to cling. When my friend left I knew at once that I wanted a Christian Science treatment.
