I am very grateful for the truths...

I am very grateful for the truths taught in Christian Science, the practical, everyday religion which teaches us to trust in God and His love for all good. My thanks go out to Mary Baker Eddy, who gave her wonderful discovery of these truths to the world.

Some time ago I felt that it was important for several reasons that I should change my place of employment. When I was sure that I had made the correct decision, I informed my employer of my intention to leave in two weeks. Then I continued to work as hard as ever to complete a particular job I was doing so that the work would be easier for my successor. During these two weeks much prayerful thought was given toward obtaining another position, where I would be needed and where I would be happy. The first day or two that I was out of work I was tempted to believe that I had been foolish to give up one situation until I had another one. However, I felt that I had been led aright, and my trust in God did not falter.

Although I was told that business was very slow and that the prospect for employment was not good, I refused to accept this line of thinking. I knew that, as we are taught in Christian Science, our supply is not affected by material conditions of any sort, because our supply comes from God.
