When a year and a half old, our little daughter was healed of a broken arm after only one treatment by a consecrated Christian Science practitioner. An X ray had shown the large bone broken, and the arm had been put into a cast. Two days later we turned to Christian Science, having recently heard of its healing efficacy. In two more days we removed the cast; and the arm was found to be as straight and efficient as before the accident.

Although our interest in Christian Science continued, we did not take a definite stand for it until some years later. One morning in March, 1950, I awakened with intense pain in my back. Our family doctor was called and insisted that I be taken to the hospital at once. The case was diagnosed as kidney stones accompanied by severe infection. After a consultation with a specialist and the taking of an X ray, it was decided that an immediate operation was necessary and that the kidney must be removed at once.

I then recalled the marvelous healing of our daughter and would not consent to the operation recommended. Obtaining my release from the physician and hospital staff, I returned home. A practitioner was called, and after diligent, prayerful work the condition responded. The kidney stones dissolved and passed out of my system, and the infection disappeared. Complete healing resulted. I have never known better health than I have had since this healing.
