When I took up the study of Christian Science more than thirty years ago, I was suffering from nervous indigestion. I was emaciated and unhappy. On seeing my condition, friends recommended that I try Christian Science. After the fourth person had made this recommendation, I decided to do so.

I went to see a practitioner and was helped by the first treatment. The next day found me in the practitioner's office again. He advised me to buy a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and to begin its study. This I did, and in a few months I was healed.

After my marriage a few years later, my husband was healed of a poisonous rash on both wrists. This impressed him so strongly that he became a student of Christian Science and joined a branch church with me. During the next few years we had many healings, including that of influenza during a so-called epidemic. Many proofs of God's care and love came to us. We found a house in a favorable location by holding to the words of the Psalmist (Ps. 48:2), "Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion."
