My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science came when I was living on a ranch in Colorado that was far from any town and where there were no close neighbors. A medical doctor had diagnosed the condition as appendicitis. Instead of returning to put myself in his care, I asked that work be taken up in Christian Science, for I knew that God could heal me. The healing was not instantaneous, but it was complete. Ten weeks later I experienced a harmonious childbirth. The baby was normal in every respect.

Living conditions, which were very crude, became harmonious when regarded with the right thought. My children were brought up in Christian Science, and now my grandchildren are receiving the same training. Christian Science has never failed us. I know that God is with His children always. This thought is with me every day, and for the comfort it brings I am indeed grateful.

I am most grateful to God for Mrs. Eddy's teachings, which enable us to understand the Bible. Among my blessings are membership in The Mother Church, usefulness in the branch church to which I belong, and class instruction.—(Mrs.) Mabel Livingston Smith, Pacific Palisades, California.
