THE WISDOM OF SPIRIT

Russell Lord

Brief is the time of trouble,
Long the eternal joy;
Pain is a passing fable
That Spirit will destroy.

A sharp wound calls forth wisdom,
Love melts a bitter hate.
For workers in God's kingdom
Truth makes the bent ways straight.
