The study and practice of Christian Science...
The study and practice of Christian Science have released me to a very great extent from many false phases of self, such as self-consciousness, self-depreciation, and selfishness. I have been tenderly and surely led to an appreciative awareness of my true selfhood as the reflection of God, Mind.
I received very little formal education, but have been enabled through Christian Science to prove that this need not be a hindrance in the demonstration of intelligence. At one time I was led step by step to take a position for which I had had no former training and was able to fulfill my duties creditably. My sincere desire through this entire experience was to serve the Cause of Christian Science.
One naturally considers it a privilege to experience physical healing through Christian Science treatment, which is prayer, but one's gratitude for the change which takes place in consciousness is even greater. The spiritual growth and regeneration which have come to me during almost fifteen years' study of this Science are very precious indeed.
