Pearl Strachan Hurd

You can trust God to be good.
You yourself would
Help a friend,
And you yourself send
Good to those you love.
Can you expect of
God anything less
Than tenderness?
The smallest ray supplies,
To open eyes,
Proof of day begun—
Assurance of the sun.
