MY PRAYER

Dear Father-Mother of us all,
I place my hand in Thine
As trustingly as little son
Has placed his own in mine.

Oh, may I greet each dawning day
With confidence and joy,
With childlike faith that all is well,
As does this little boy.

He knows no world of want and woe,
No guile, no hate, no fear.
May I, as does this little child,
Just know that Thou art here.
