In humble gratitude for all the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science, I submit the following testimony.

A skin disease diagnosed by the medical profession as incurable first led me to seek the aid of Christian Science. I went to a Christian Science testimony meeting and later sought the help of a practitioner, who explained something of Christian Science to me. I began to study earnestly, and within a few weeks the disease disappeared. That was over twenty years ago, and the healing has been permanent.

I was also healed of hemorrhages of both ears, a condition believed to to be inherited, from which I suffered for at least ten years. Every winter I had to have medical attention, which included cauterizing my throat. I was not allowed to go out in cold weather, was kept out of drafts, and was warned about going into the surf in the summertime. The condition troubled me greatly, as I was fearful of losing my hearing altogether, and this fear in due course manifested itself as stone deafness. I then endeavored to study Christian Science by doing each day the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, but seemingly I made no progress. One day, however, whilst I was suffering extreme agony, I said to myself, "Well, I cannot do any more; it is in the hands of God." The following passage from Luke (15:31) came to me, "Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine." I was immediately comforted. Then an explosion-like noise sounded in my head, and my hearing instantly returned; I cried like a baby in sheer relief and gratitude. From that day on I earnestly endeavored to increase my knowledge of God and to live according to the teachings of Christian Science.
