FROM ANNUAL REPORTS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Growing Public Interest and Appreciation

New Jersey

Protestant groups, civic and social organizations, and service clubs are showing an ever-increasing desire to learn something about the teaching and practice of Christian Science. The leaven of Truth is surely at work, but more seeds of Truth need to be planted. The soil of human consciousness appears reach for this as never before. May we Christian Scientists be alert to the wonderful opportunities at hand. May we give fearlessly and liberally of our store of good by mentioning Christian Science to the stranger. Love for our fellow man always opens the way.

It is encouraging to note that the members of those groups who asked for talks on Christian Science generally showed considerable interest in our religion, particularly its healing work. One minister said that his church would do well if it devoted some attention to spiritual healing. A Baptist and a Presbyterian each asked, "May I still be a member of my church if I secure a copy of Science and Health and read it?"
