Christian Science indispensable in bringing up a child

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46: 1). How true this has been for me through the years. In fact, I do not see how anyone with children manages without Christian Science. I am ever increasingly grateful to Mary Baker Eddy for bringing this wonderful Science to the world. I wish to express gratitude for the Sunday School, for membership in The Mother Church and m a branch church, and for all the activities of the movement.

When he was small, our son was healed through this precious Science of measles and later of mumps. When he first got his bicycle, he skidded on some loose gravel and cut himself quite badly, he came home crying from the pain in his head, and I had him he down while I read to him the definition of "man" from our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy (pp. 475—477). He fell asleep and was entirely well when he awoke. When his father came home and saw him and heard about it, he was filled with fear, not being a Scientist, and he called a doctor. The doctor said it could not be a fractured skull or the child would be screaming with pain. He said it was not necessary to have an X ray. I was very grateful.

We have had beautiful experiences of finding lost articles and overcoming inharmony, as well as physical healings. I have, been healed of rheumatism and sinus trouble, also of colds and headaches. I am grateful for the practitioners who have helped me, and I say humbly, "Thank You, God." —(Mrs.) Virginia Stallbories, Denver, Colorado.
