Successful prospectors in Science do not mistake false glitter for real gold of Spirit

LET US BE ALERT PROSPECTORS

A Familiar saying warns, "All ... that glitters is not gold." And any experienced prospector knows that one who disregards its wisdom makes many problems for himself.

There is a mineral that glitters and also has the color of gold. Even though this metal resembles gold, and sometimes appears in the same locality, it is worthless. If even unwittingly one attempts to use this metal, sometimes called fool's gold, in place of gold, the result will be unsatisfactory and may indeed involve one in a severe penalty. The mineral prospector must be alert.

Is there not a helpful lesson here for the student of Christian Science, the spiritual prospector?
