Of Good Report

From the state of New York a woman writes of the blessings which have accrued to her in sharing her sense of substance with another in Germany. She says:

"I had requested from your Committee the name of a woman whom I might share some of my clothing with and occasionally send some food, as my own circumstances are somewhat limited. I wish to let you know it has been and is a precious experience. My own sense of limitation lifted, for food was purchased and postage paid.

"These people speak no English and we know no German, but we are proving that Love is the universal language. The letters which we exchange are frequent and are lovingly translated for us. In their letters such deep appreciation and unselfish joy are expressed that our only reaction is a great desire to do more for them. They feel that expressing their thanks on paper is not enough, but what could be more satisfying? To me, one who has been sort of 'housebound' while working out a problem, this interchange of love has been a wonderful outlet, and I am writing to express to you my deep and sincere thanks for this opportunity which the Committee on Christian Science Wartime Activities has afforded me. May the work grow until love encircles the world."
