Under the marginal heading "Skilful surgery" in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy makes known the right course to pursue in regard to the handling of surgical problems in Christian Science practice.

Christian Science first came to my attention in 1922, when I was healed of a badly sprained instep.
I send this testimony with the fervent prayer that it may be the means of bringing to some care-burdened reader the relief and peace of mind and gratitude that were mine when the message was brought to me that there was a way out of my difficulties.

My first healing in Christian Science was accomplished solely by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
