"When
faced with a difficult or unsolved problem each one might well ask himself, "Do I apprehend reality?
A Student
of Christian Science at one time was greatly disturbed at the close of each day.
The
student of Christian Science turns for guidance to his textbooks, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, whenever he is confronted by any situation which seems to need a solution.
"The
relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
Under
the marginal heading "Skilful surgery" in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy makes known the right course to pursue in regard to the handling of surgical problems in Christian Science practice.
In
the fourth Psalm the injunction is given, "Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
In
his first epistle to the Thessalonians the Apostle Paul writes.
A Christian Scientist
had been invited, along with several other nature lovers, to watch the opening of a night-blooming cereus in the garden of a friend.
When
Paul encountered in Athens the Epicureans and Stoics, who represented the philosophical thought of his day, he met their intellectual condescension with simple arguments of truth.

Last December a private garage close to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Auburn and Lewiston, Maine, caught fire and ignited the roof and wall of the church, causing damage to the extent of several thousand dollars.
In the words of the Psalmist, "Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done,.
"Grace and Truth are potent beyond all other means and methods.
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Christian Science first came to my attention in 1922, when I was healed of a badly sprained instep.
I send this testimony with the fervent prayer that it may be the means of bringing to some care-burdened reader the relief and peace of mind and gratitude that were mine when the message was brought to me that there was a way out of my difficulties.
My first healing in Christian Science was accomplished solely by reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science by telling of the healings I have had.
