OBEDIENCE—THE OFFSPRING OF LOVE

Jesus said (John 14:23), "If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." What a glorious promise!

Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, tells us in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 117), "Obedience is the offspring of Love; and Love is the Principle of unity, the basis of all right thinking and acting; it fulfils the law." Christian Scientists, therefore, should love obedience and should watch that they are obedient to Love.
