In deep humility the leper knelt,Yet with the glad expectancy of good,And we can understand his gratitudeWhen Jesus tenderly put forth his handAnd with this loving gesture comfortedThe leper—casting out all loneliness.To him the Master's love revealedAt once the ever-present Christ that healed.
