EVER-PRESENT NOW
Time
has no power to steal our life away,
Nor can it prison us in yesterday;
Nor in tomorrow should our thoughts be bound,
When in today our blessings may be found.
For yesterdays are make-believe, no less,
In God's eternal now of happiness.
There is no past or future in His plan,
But ever-present joy for perfect man.
Thus we should claim that we have lost no power
To use God's gifts within the present hour.
