Christian Scientists are law-abiding people and submit to the laws of the land. Yet one of the cardinal principles of democracy is the right of the oppressed to apply for redress of their grievances. So Christian Scientists who protest to the proper authorities against oppressive measures and violation of their religious freedom are living up to their highest understanding of the laws of our land. We shall continue to make every effort to have our Christian Science children free to practice their religion unhampered by oppressive laws of any kind.
