It is with deepest gratitude to God that I wish to share the many blessings which I have received through the study of Christian Science. Twenty years ago I was in great need of physical healing, and physicians gave me little hope of ever recovering completely. I had been on a diet for five years and was suffering from what the physicians diagnosed as inflammation of the kidney and bladder, indigestion, rheumatism, and minor ailments.

It was in this hour of great need that Christian Science was presented to me by a loving neighbor. She left me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and some authorized Christian Science literature, and I started to read and study diligently. Although I understood very little of what I was reading, the seeds of Truth had been planted, for I lost the fear I had always had of going outside in cold, damp weather.

One such day found me walking to a Christian Science practitioner's office. I shall never forget how lovingly she explained the relationship of God and man. I left her office filled with great hope and healed of the fear of food. Healings of the other difficulties came about more gradually and required much study and humility, which brought many blessings to me and to my family.
