I have long desired to express...
I have long desired to express my gratitude for the many wonderful healings and delightful experiences that have been ours through the study and application of Christian Science during the past nine years. Divine Love has met and continues to meet our every need.
We learn in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy that accidents are not known to God (see p. 424), and also (ibid., p. 124), "Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind." These truths were held to when our eldest son slipped and fell with great force on a wooden gymnasium set. A protruding bolt was pushed under the kneecap, almost severing it. I called a Christian Science practitioner, and she immediately declared the truths mentioned. The boy had no sense of fear and suffered very little pain. He attended school every day, and two weeks later he rode his bicycle, entirely free.
When we were moving to a new home, our small daughter was badly bitten on the eyelid when she stooped to pet a dog. We knew that in God's creation, where all is good, there could be only love expressed. Three days later her eye was normal, with only tiny scars remaining. We are very grateful for our second son's complete freedom from a heart difficulty that had claimed he would have to lead an inactive life. He is very active and healthy now. I had an instantaneous healing of chronic eczema of twenty-two years' standing.
