To the Giver of all perfect gifts, our Father-Mother God, I wish to give heartfelt thanks for bringing me into Christian Science. In this Science I learned about the allness and everywhereness of God, and man's true relationship to Him as His perfect child.

I did not take up the study of this Science for healing, but after attending church services on a number of occasions and finding the atmosphere harmonious and peaceful, I thought that here was a religion I should like to know more about. I purchased the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and while reading it one day I discovered when I put the book down that I had forgotten to put on my glasses, but I felt no ill effects. I did not at first realize that this was a healing, but as I continued to study, this fact gradually dawned upon me, and I praised God for having led me to a religion that not only brought out the beautiful and good, but was applicable to every need. Since then the Bible and our textbook have become very precious daily companions.

Previous to my introduction to Christian Science, I had tried to become better acquainted with the Bible. However, there were so many statements which I could not reconcile with my concept of creation that I laid it aside. After obtaining the "key" to the Scriptures and using it, I found the Bible a veritable treasure chest.
