For over twenty years Christian Science has been bringing physical, financial, and spiritual blessings into my life, and has given me cause for endless gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, to the practitioners, and to many other earnest Scientists who have generously helped me to progress. Class instruction and the yearly association meetings add to my joy and my ability to share in the unfoldment of good which is ours in the measure that we seek it. The following experiences of healing are given in the hope that they will be of interest and encouragement.

One morning during the winter of 1934, whilst at work, I became almost helpless through weakness and great pain. A practitioner who has on many occasions been a tower of spiritual strength lived about two miles from where I was working, and I made my way to her house to ask for help. So clear was her understanding that, after talking with her a very few minutes, I was instantaneously healed of rupture. The completeness and permanence of the healing were proved when in 1944 I was graded "1" in my medical examination for service with the forces.

On another occasion the same practitioner was asked for help some time before our elder daughter was born. Everything seemed to be progressing well until about a month before the birth, when the nurse who had been engaged declared she would turn the case down unless a doctor was called in. We called a doctor for an examination and were told that it was very doubtful that the birth could be a natural one, owing to some physical defect my wife suffered. However, the baby was born naturally and very harmoniously under Christian Science treatment. Since then another child has been born without a suggestion of physical trouble of any kind.
