At-one-ment versus Fission

Much has been heard recently of splitting the atom and of nuclear fission as a means of releasing huge forces. But the spiritual substance of God's universe is never subject to splitting or fission, and divine power is always naturally and effortlessly available to bless.

In many fields of endeavor the belief of fission prevents humanity from enjoying the abundance and happiness which it might otherwise experience. Nations, believing themselves divided into hostile groups, vie with one another to produce armaments. Industries, believing in divided interests of labor and management, waste their substance in strikes and lockouts. Individual men and women, believing in divided aims and affections, fail to find full satisfaction in their work or their human relationships. Time, space, death, and many other factors claim to separate and split up humanity.

"Divide the living child in two," said Solomon (I Kings 3:25). But the wise king at once recognized as mother of the child the woman who refused to permit such a division. It is inconceivable that God, the divine Father-Mother of the universe, should be less loving than a human parent or permit in any way His living creation to be cut in two.
