"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies" (Ps. 18:2, 3).

It is with a grateful heart that I speak of the many healings that my children and I have received through Christian Science. Recently I have overcome a sickness which seemed very alarming. Early the morning that it appeared I did my studying of the Lesson-Sermon with prayerful emphasis on the nothingness of matter and the wholeness and perfection of Spirit, then went on with my day's work about the house.

By evening I felt no better, but I held fast to the fact that "there is no power apart from God" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 228), and that since God is ever present and all-powerful, there cannot possibly be any evil. I retired early and took my copy of the textbook with me. Opening it at random, I saw these words on page 259: "In divine Science, man is the true image of God." I knew that no fever, pain, inflammation, nor lameness can be in God nor in His true image. I held to that truth, and continued my reading. The fever soon left. By the time I was ready to sleep, I felt much better in every way. and the evening of the next day the healing was complete.
