Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Joplin, Missouri (Second Church).

Two services of dedication were held on Sunday, January 6, 1946, at Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Joplin, Sixth Street and Moffet Avenue. The services were held in the morning and afternoon.

History of the present organization of the church began on May 31, 1927, when twenty-four persons, former members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Joplin, met at a private home and discussed the need and advisability of organizing Second Church.
