For many years I had built my life upon the falsehoods of material sense. As a consequence hate, greed, fear, revenge, selfishness, and the like made me miserable. Unconsciously I shut God, good, out of my experience and went along in my own willful way.

That evil is unreal, not even the critical initial reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy could convince me. After contradicting it for two hundred and eighty-two pages, I stopped to think things over. Finally, the light began to dawn upon my thought. I started to express in my daily life the spiritual qualities mentioned in the Bible, such as love, forgiveness, and selflessness. One by one my ills fell away, proving to me not only that God is infinite good, divine Love, but also that evil is not real. Along with fear of the future, Christian Science took away selfishness and tamed my unruly desires. It has healed me of colds, headaches, and a painful condition of the back that medical men and chiropractors had failed to heal; a severely sprained ankle was healed in one day without the loss of a minute from my job of delivering mail.

All except one of my healings have come about through my own prayerful study and thoughtful application of the truths of Christian Science. I thank God for the opportunity to be one of His witnesses, and for the knowledge that all men can have salvation here and now.—Paul L. Rohr, Rock Island, Illinois.
