Binghamton Sun
Binghamton, New York (First Church).
Dedication services for First Church of Christ, Scientist, Binghamton, were held in the morning and afternoon on Sunday, October 14, 1945, in the church edifice, corner of Front Street and Riverside Drive. The service included a historical sketch of the origin and growth of the church.
The building was open for its first service on Sunday, May 7, 1939. The cornerstone-was laid on November 9, 1938. The property was formerly the St. John homestead and included a seventy-five-year-old colonial house.
