I should like to tell, for the benefit of those who may be seeking healing and encouragement through our periodicals, of the numerous ways Christian Science has helped me.
I was never religiously inclined, but I was in great need and my whole desire was to find God. I was suffering from many physical difficulties, among which were stomach ulcers and a heart condition, and I felt that my days were numbered. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." My prayers were answered in a very few days, for a brother, who had never called on me before, came to see me and told me about Christian Science and the textbook, Science and Health, which Mrs. Eddy wrote.
In a few days I was moved to another rooming house, which was managed by an old friend of the family who also lived there. Here, in new, clean surroundings, I took my first steps in Science.
