Having received so much help from the reading of testimonies published in the Christian Science periodicals, I am very grateful for the privilege of adding mine.

I have experienced many healings and blessings since taking up the study of Christian Science, but I am most grateful for the healing of the fear of loneliness.

Being a member of a large family, I had actually never known loneliness, but from childhood had always had a great fear of being away from home and especially of sleeping in strange places. Suddenly I was told the news of the removal to a distance of all my relatives. Through a new but very dear friend, I had just heard of Christian Science. This friend proved to be a Christian Science practitioner, and she lent me a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I felt it was what I had been looking for all my life. I asked her if Christian Science could help me in this situation. She assured me it could, so I asked her for help and was healed in one treatment. Such a wonderful sense of God's ever-presence flooded my consciousness on the first night I spent in strange surroundings after my family's departure that I felt entirely lifted above a material location. Never since this healing have I felt any fear of loneliness.
