Signs of the Times
"Thy kingdom come"
Dr. C. P. Dame
Evening Sentinel, Holland, Michigan
God's kingdom has the right to first place. ... We must keep on seeking the kingdom, not only at certain times but at all times, in season and out of season. ... So many people in this world put other things first, some their business, others their pleasure, still others their homes, ... but the Lord says that the kingdom should come first, and that means that some things which now are first must be put in their right place—in a secondary position.
Instead of being anxious and concerned about food, and drink, and clothing, a Christian should devote his mental and spiritual and physical energies in the direction of the kingdom. If a man takes the Lord at His word, then the Lord will take care of him and his needs.
