In Science and Health (p. 1)...
In Science and Health (p. 1) Mrs. Eddy says, "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." I feel that this has been my experience.
Many years ago a brother, an agnostic, wrote to me ridiculing the immaculate conception of Jesus. This troubled me considerably, but after much earnest prayer the peace of God came to me, with the assurance that the Bible account of the birth of Jesus is true, and that more understanding of this would by degrees come to me.
My next experience was to learn that God is Spirit, everywhere present, and ever available to meet my need. In this wider understanding, I rested long with great joy, asking nothing, but trusting.
