For all the blessings that Christian Science has brought into my life, I wish to express my sincere gratitude. I had never heard of this Science until I came to America. I was told that I was going to a godless country, but it was here that I found the only living and true God, through the teachings of Christian Science.

From girlhood I had never been strong and well, was always suffering from some ailment, and was constantly under the care of doctors. Shortly after my arrival in California, a physical condition from which I had suffered for some years, as a result of an accident, became very aggravated. I tried many forms of medical treatment with no benefit. I was advised to have an X ray to determine the exact nature of the difficulty. The doctors pronounced it an incurable case of bone disease, and told me that in a few months I would become a helpless cripple.

During this time I had become acquainted with some students of Christian Science. There was something about them that I loved and I was often seeking their company. When I told them the doctors' verdict they lovingly assured me that God, who is Love, had never made any such condition for His child, because He makes only good. This comforted me, but I was not then quite ready to rely upon Science for healing.
