Many years ago I learned about...
Many years ago I learned about Christian Science through my father, and I shall always be grateful to him for bringing the Christian way of living into my experience. I have great love in my heart, too, for all who have unselfishly shared their experiences in the periodicals. Class instruction taught me how to utilize what I had learned, and it is helping me each day.
At one time in my life, evil seemed to be rampant. One of our sons was taken ill with meningitis, and the medical decree was that nothing could be done to save his life. The consecrated work of a Christian Science practitioner, however, annulled that unjust sentence, and he was freed entirely.
The healing brought more gentleness into the child's nature and gave him a real love for Christian Science. It was an experience that demanded the daily expression of courage, patience, and hope, and with the healing came a broader outlook than before and many new joys. I became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church, for both of which privileges I am daily grateful.
