My first healings in Christian Science, those of malaria and insomnia, came many years ago after I had suffered for three years from these difficulties. During the years since then I have been healed of colds and other discordant conditions. Mrs. Eddy's statement has indeed been proved true (Message to The Mother Church for 1901, p. 1), "And rest assured you can never lack God's outstretched arm so long as you are in His service."

For the many blessings that have come to me since those early days, I am indeed grateful to God, and praise Him for "his wounderful works to the children of men," and above all, for the truth which He has revealed to this age through Science, which clarifies the teachings of Christ Jesus.

My gratitude also goes out to the pioneer workers in Christian Science who stood shoulder to shoulder with Mrs. Eddy, and faced not only ridicule and hatred, but even imprisonment. It is largely due to their courage and sacrifices that this religion of Love has spread throughout the world.
