Applying Christian Science to the World's Needs
Every Christian Scientist is aware that Christian Science heals, and that it is not only applicable to individual needs but adequate to meet national and international problems as well. It is apparent that the world sorely needs the healing prayers of spiritually-minded people. The prayers which are most efficacious are those based upon the understanding which the Christ Science gives of the omnipotence of God, good, and the perfection of His universe, including man.
God's kingdom—Mind and its manifestation—is inherently at peace. Fear cannot possibly affect God's kingdom or the identities in it and cause the peace of His universe to be disturbed. His kingdom and each and every idea in it are uninfluenced by the false argument of fear. Each idea is unafraid, and is aware of the eternal presence of peace, unaffected by fearful thoughts, for such thoughts are without divine origin, presence, or power.
God is omnipotent and good. His universe is therefore eternally good. It expresses peace and harmony, now and forever. Every idea is at peace with every other idea. They all express the unity and harmony which characterize God's divine nature. Every idea is now doing its important part in expressing the ever-present, all-inclusive peace of God and His universe.
