Christian Science Committee on Publication for Kentucky Reports

To the best of the Committee's knowledge no article attacking Christian Science or its Leader, either directly or indirectly, has appeared in the newspapers of Kentucky during the past year. However, two attacks of minor consequence appeared in religious periodicals. On both occasions the Committee personally got in touch with the editors and was graciously received. Interesting and helpful interviews were held. Since then neither one of these periodicals has made any reference to Christian Science in an unfriendly way.

This Committee has been informed that in one instance a furniture store suspended business while Station WPAD, Paducah, was radiocasting a Christian Science program, in order that its employees and customer might have the privilege of listening to its presentation.

Because an explanation of the teachings of Christian Science was desired by the faculty and students of the College of the Bible (Disciples of Christ), Transylvania University, Lexington, Kentucky, the Committee received an invitation to address that college. This meeting was well attended by students, faculty members, and several visiting ministers and teachers. After the meeting many of those attending, including professors and teachers, expressed appreciation for the enlightenment they had received in regard to the teachings of Christian Science. They were especially impressed with the Tenets of The Mother Church.
